Does anyone know of anyone who uses Fractint's Targa support? Speak now or forever hold you peace! (This is NOT an April fool's message... :-) Tim

I have a modified version of Kerry Mitchels program which uses output fractal image TGA files. Works mainly with specific formula/palette generated images. What were your thoughts about it's continued existence within FractInt?? did you speak about videoboard or file support ? --
Qu'il achète un mac, et la macounette qui va bien avec. Une macounette ne s'achète pas. Ca s'offre ? C'est pas un cadeau.
Some of us "Fractalieri" use Large Format RIP (Raster Image Processor) Programs like Wasatch SoftRip, PosterShop, and ArtistRIP that drive the Large Format Printers (DesignJets and NovaJets, etc...) which we use to print out our images. These programs use the Adobe Postscript *.eps and the Targa *.tga file formats. Please explain why the Targa *tga is to be considered "obsolete"? Egad! I scared folks unnecessarily. I was referring to Targa video support, not to the creation of TGA files. I don't think there are many of those boards left, if any, so we might as well remove the code, which we can't test anyway, and it is getting in the way. TGA FILE support, however, is essential and we aren't considering removing it. Tim
