FOTD 25-04-07 (FOTD for April 25, 2007 [Not Rated])
FOTD -- April 25, 2007 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: For today's FOTD I combined 6 negative parts of Z^(-1.2) with 0.6 negative part of Z^(-6.6) and added (1/C). This gave me a fractal with a prominent 'fan' and several large bays with filaments extending from them. The filaments terminate in fractal rings. Today's image is located in a spiral where a prominent filament intersects a circle. Since I put very little effort into the image, and I recall several quite similar FOTD's, I could neither name nor rate it. And the calculation time is a bit longer than ideal, but it's still a pleasant fractal to stand in awe of, or sit in awe of in this case. (All fractals are awesome.) The pure gray background is a kind of test. I'm not sure whether I like or dislike it. I was tempted to change it to a more brilliant hue, but in the end I decided to let the back- ground remain gray. Great weather prevailed again on Tuesday here at Fractal Central -- lots of sun and a temperature of 73F 23C. The fractal cats checked the outside conditions from their window shelf, then decided it would be more fun to chase each other up and down the hallway.
