LOL. A fine counter example! In general, turning periodicity on will speed up image generation. I have on the back burner a speedup for the periodicity checking code. Maybe I'll tackle it after I finish the port of the assembly language formula parser to Xfractint.

Cheers, Guy *********** I had big troubles with PC-virusses transmitted to me per email, passing the filters of our email server. If you had an attach-file from me, carefully scan it with a Virus detector before runnig/starting it by double klicking!! Although no virus was declared active by Norton Antivir, a worm possibly sent itself to all addresses of my email program. Anyway, my PC was down for a certain time. It's now ok again and email attachments are scanned by antivirus software.
