FOTD 01-12-09 (Six-Part Harmony [7])
FOTD -- December 01, 2009 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Due to a lack of time, today's discussion will necessarily be brief. Today's image is a basic repeat of yesterday's, but of order 6 rather than order 4. Most of the things I wrote about yesterday's image are also valid for today's. After a few minutes of deep contemplation, I named today's scene "Six-Part Harmony" Then I rated it at a 7, which is just enough above average to be interesting. The calculation time of just over one minute is brief enough to make the job of running the parameter file almost a pleasure. Viewing the finished image on the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> is an absolute pleasure. Heavy clouds, light rain, and a temperature of 45F 7C kept the fractal cats suppressed here at New Fractal Central on Monday. A phone call from my sister let me know that things were just as suppressed back at Old Fractal Central, where Thomas, the one remaining old fractal cat slept through the day. Due to heavier work than expected, I was pretty suppressed myself, though I still found time to search for and find a fractal. The next FOTD will probably be posted in 24 hours. Until then, take care, and the more things are supposed to change, the more they don't change.
