So if you want to know the difference between "whither" and "where" -- and don't want to have to wait until the dictionary is released on video -- hasten to the philofractal list where Jim Muth has expounded on this vitally on-topic distinction to the enlightenment of all.
Why do I get the impression I'm being baited?
I'd've thought that announcements of posts on the philofractal list would be subjects for the philofractal list.
On the philofractal list, an announcement of a post to the same philofractal list would not be needed. Morgan: I'm always ready to trade between-the-line epithets, but let's do it on the philofractal list (if you're still a member of that list). On this, the Fractint list, God is alive and well. His initials are TW and he casts out off-topic posters with an iron fist. Jim (mixed metaphor) Muth

And they're needed on the Fractint list? If someone is already subscribed to the philofractal list they wouldn't need to see the announcement of some on another list; if they're not, I'm not sure there are many who would bother doing so just to see what you have to say about the difference between whither and where. I can't help it if you feel compelled to reply to everything everyone says in your hearing - especially if you do so on another list entirely. Morgan L.
