high-res feed of Max Iter's Fractal Follies
With Roger Alexander's permission I've created a high-res feed of the parsets he's been posting for his "Max Iter's Fractal Follies" blog. This is similar to the feed I've created for Jim Muth's Fractal of the Day series. Images: <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/fractals/maxiter/index.html> RSS feed: <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/fractals/maxiter/maxiter-rss.xml> Roger's blog is linked from the pages of rendered images. On his blog he posts the GIF which have the parset embedded; I post 1600x1200 3x antialiased JPEGs rendered from the parset. The feed is catching up to the present and is currently grinding through July images. Roger has been posting parsets that typically take less time per image than the FOTD parsets and of course there are far fewer parsets in the backlog to grind through, so this feed should be caught up to the present in a short while. Cool - thanks! After a 63-hour work week, I feel like the Primate Skull. #-/ -- David gnome@hawaii.rr.com authenticity, honesty, community

I like the way that only the RSS render date/time is shown for each entry. And that there is no link to the original posting. Makes it easier trying to figure out when and where Roger Alexander's initial blog posting may be found. Thanks for making the high-res feed. It's really easy to quickly navigate over all the images. Are the par files you link created from the gif's or are they the pars that were posted on the mail list? I have been noticed several times in the last few days where I suspect the mail list pars aren't the same as the gif pars. -- Mike Frazier www.fracton.org

They are the pars that are posted to the mailing list and the pars from which the large images are generated.

I don't grab the gifs from the blog; I just use the pars that are posted to the list. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://legalizeadulthood.wordpress.com/the-direct3d-graphics-pipeline/> Legalize Adulthood! <http://legalizeadulthood.wordpress.com>
