FOTD 21-09-09 (On the Right Line [7])
FOTD -- September 21, 2009 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: This FOTD is late because FL and I took an antiquing expedition to Lewisberry on Sunday. It's not an excuse; it's just an expla- nation of the lateness. Today's better-than-average image lies on a filament extending from the large period-2 bud of the largest minibrot on the main stem of the parent Mandeloid, which not surprisingly is shaped like the minibrot at the center of the frame. This parent was created when I calculated the formula Z^(1.9)+C at one level up the logarithmic ladder when no function is applied. Since time is at a premium, I'll let the image do most of the speaking for itself. (I think it's one that can speak for itself.) The rating of a 7 indicates that I consider the image to be worth the 1 minute, 33 seconds needed to run the included parameter file. Lots of sun and a temperature of 73F 23C here at Fractal Central on Sunday gave the fractal cats lots of time to stretch out and relax while we were away. The rest of the day was uneventful.
