FOTD -- February 06, 2012 (Rating 6) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: NEW FORMULA ALERT! Today's formula, the JulibrotMulti2, is a new one, so be sure to copy it into your formula file. The image is the first one I have found with the new formula. I named it "A Mini What Is It" because I have no idea what kind of object it pictures. The orientation of the slice is at some unimaginable angle in the 4-D Julibrot. The parent fractal is a Mandelbrot set severely corrupted by Z^7 energies. Today's image is located in some debris in the main period-2 bud area of the large minibrot on the west branch of the filament extending from the large period-3 bud on the north edge of the main bay of the parent fractal. The seven lobes of the object in today's image would lead me to believe that it is closer to a mini Julia set than a mini Mandelbrot set, though I would make no wagers that this is true. The rating was held to a lowly 6 because of the childish coloring. If the mathematical interest were lacking, the image would have been immediately consigned to the waste basket. The calculation time of 50 seconds is quite fast, which means that little time will have been wasted if the image bombs. Avoid all risk of explosions by visiting the official FOTD web site at: <http://www.crosscanpuzzles.com/Archives.html> and viewing the completed image there. Find total satisfaction at the hi-def FOTD web site at: <http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/TESTS/FOTD/jim_muths_fotd.html> where the image is posted in high definition. And remember the original web site at: <http://www.Nahee.com/FOTD/> Total sunshine and a temperature of 50F 10C made today a day to be remembered here at Fractal Central. The fractal cats remembered the day until they realized they were hungry, when they remembered their food dishes. The humans had another typical day of survival. My team lost the overblown Stupor Bowl last evening, but with little interest, I had little disappointment. The next FOTD, almost guaranteed to be an improvement, will be posted in 24 hours. Until then, take care, and I heard from an acquaintance in Germany that the winter there is extremely severe and the threat of global warming must therefore be grossly exaggerated.
