Q 4 SherLok Merfy re "Hw2 combine diff vus of a fractal in truecolour"
############################################### Thanks for the pics: http://ecn.ab.ca/~brewhaha/img/cards/heart.htm http://ecn.ab.ca/~brewhaha/img/cards/diamond.htm You say:
If you are interested in how to combine different views of one fractal in truecolour, then you might find http://ecn.ab.ca/~brewhaha/img/cards/par.gz to be interesting.
Do your formulas do the combining of two different views both of which you calculate within the formula - or do you use something like PhotoShop to combine two separately calculated images? I didn't understand how the formulas in your file: cards.par were combining two views (if they were doing that). I also ask if you use another program in addition to Fractint because I noticed that your images were .jpg and not the .gifs written by FractInt. Also, your statements:
I equalized the chrominance view through a mask. and ...it's hard to beat FracTint combined with a good pixel editor.
imply the use of programs other than FractInt. What program(s) do you use to equalize the chrominance view through a mask? <---<< What program(s) do you use to combine different views of a fractal into true color? <---<< What program(s) do you use to do pixel editing? <---<< What effects do you try to achieve when you edit pixels? <---<< By the way, you typed "FracTint". The intent of the name Fractint was originally "an INTeger fractal calculator" -- so I would expect a recapitalization to be "FractInt" rather than your "FracTint", altho Fractint does apply 'tints' to fractals (mathematical abstractions) and thereby creates color images... - Hal Lane ######################### # hallane@earthlink.net # ######################### ############################################### --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
