Considering that my sempron2600 had the same issu, and now work at 50% i did taught that it could be fun the redo a installation for thru. So i decide first to buy a NEW (important) I3 processor (I3 cause i will have 3 tread later with it) probably from Hp, (cause he i had warning from Acer)...... Today at store like staple or futurshop..... It will be wild, two Xp, and on 7 probably... funky tread. .. buy i go.

Mister Helie is a source of formulas and parameters that do not connect, or that are missing key ingredients, like a bail-out test. It iz no great matter to fix them up. You get what you pay for ;-) It iz free. Who iz asking for trouble, besides me? Here, though, he seems to be spewing about plans to upgrade hiz computer. Az far az I know, even Fractint for Windows does not use more than one core. Parallel processing iz the way of the future. It was in the eighties. I don't remember seeing a clock speed over 1.6MHz. The reason mine is called a 3.2 iz because it iz a dual core; 1.6MHz*2. When Fractint for DOS runs on it, it uses both instruction processors at 50%. It would be slightly more efficient to saturate one of them; hot cache. The UofA bought an array processor (Single Instruction, Multiple Data) for their mainframe in about 1990. They probably bought a few since then. MMX, whatever that stands for, is basically SIMD. Does anybody understand what "volatile" means in C? I mean, if you are reading memory-mapped Ethernet card, yes, it iz volatile memory, but your program (device driver, let us say) iz supposed to know when it changes. Your compiler can't do anything different. So, is "volatile" there az a cue to programmers? On 2011-10-31 8:34 AM, padski@padski.co.uk wrote:
