i use the dosbox SVN Daum that Hal suggested with a lot

of aditional settings in the program folder.

And another hot tip:

VirtualXP from Oracle has been updated and could be

easily installed on Win10-64bit.

albrecht - it sounds to me as if you don't have your fractint files in the place(s) that DOSbox is expecting to find them. (I don't think Mr. Gates is conspiring on this).
