Whether you reload by using a saved parameter file (.PAR) or from a FractInt saved graphic image (.GIF), you should be able to just use the <DEL> key to then allow a choice for your video mode. (Or use the <ESC> key to get you to the Main Menu and choose the option for a video mode.) Try moving up one resolution higher each time until you come to one that either no longer works or just produces a black screen. If it just has a black screen, then image is still being generated (until you hear the 'beep') and can be saved to disc as a GIF file. You can also run the MAKEFCFG.EXE to set your choices of resolution based upon your system's hardware and driver configuration. Then there is the alternative: Disk-Video Mode. By running the following from a DOS prompt, you can produce the manual with all of the instructions on this feature. FRACTINT.EXE MAKEDOC
I am currently running the newer version that is downloadable- just got it a few months ago....
I hope it was the one from the following location: http://www.fractint.org/ftp/current/dos/ Which has the version 20.4.04. Sincerely, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/
