Actually, of the 4 limitations I mentioned, the ones concerning maximum number of entries in a single .ifs or .ls file are the least important for me. I CAN always split up large files into smaller ones, and this is in fact what I have already done, so no worries.
Gerald's statement is pretty accurate about memory imitations causing the limits. However I'll check, perhaps some of those limits could be loosened. Changing the limits in Xfractint would be easy, but then you'd lose Fractint compatability. Tim
