will someone here please briefly explain how to use a par file to generate an image? Certainly! Assuming that you use Dos Fractint - (any windows version will fail) - copy the par file into your Factint par folder. Use a separate file with the name or add it to an existing file with copy and paste. After Fractint start type "2" and you see the Par folder. Execute the desired Par. If it´s a list with your Par in it scroll down until it shows the desired name. Execute. It the Par file includes the frm - all Jim´s Pars do - that´s all. If it does not include the frm you should have it in your Frm folder under any file name. Fractint will find it. MFR_13 is also included in the Dropbox link. See the post following later today. Copy it into your Frm Folder. ; If you´re using any Fractint windows version you will have to install Dos Fractint. Several versions are available - I definetely recommend DOS Box SVN which is not a ressource killer like others and 100% compatible. Same for a bootstick which will start dos using the bootoption, mostly F8, on system start. Tim supplied the links, here again: Bootstick: https://rufus.akeo.ie Dosbox : http://ykhwong.x-y.net/ MFR_13 :https://www.dropbox.com/s/wzh7vtmco56lqbr/MFR_13.frm?dl=0 ; Any questions are welcome Petta
