Starting from a zoom into the center of the parent view, I calculate maximum zooms... Excellent idea -- and results! There are quite a few very nice images in your zoom sequence.
I found it fun to try to locate the area in each image where the *next* image in the sequence appears. There were some that gave me a bit of a challenge: - The zoom into 75 for 76 is inverted for a better composition. (Nice!) - The zoom into 77 for 78 has a color map shift. Take a look... - I couldn't find 79 in 78 -- Found it! I was looking in the version of 78 with a different color map. Try putting the two different color map versions of 78 in adjacent tabs of your browser and alternating viewing them. I believe the key combinations {ctrl}{n} and {ctrl}{n+1} work in all three common Windows browsers. - I was eventually able to find all three 80s in 79. One was inverted. - 81-C11 is in 80-D10 (middle digits of file name left out) - 81-E11 is in 80-E10 - I couldn't find 82 in either of the 81s. :( A great sequence, Albrecht! - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## -----Original Message----- From: Fractint [mailto:fractint-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Albrecht Niekamp Sent: Thursday, January 21, 2016 3:37 PM To: Fractint and General Fractals Discussion <fractint@mailman.xmission.com> Subject: [Fractint] (Fractint] Fractal Trip Fractal Trip ; Sometimes, - the Fractint users are aware of it -, I come up with something completely new to keep progress and curiosity alive. Today it´s the Fractal Trip: Starting from a zoom into the center of the parent view, I calculate maximum zooms - the zoombox at minimum size and exactly in the center. Starting this expereriment I did not know the result but was positively surprised, more then once on the way to the deepest possible zoom, number twelve. This means the images should be watched in their predefined sequence ranging from 70 to 82. The next to final zooms 80 and 81 have an identical x-axis but the y-axis has been slightly altered as interesting alternatives turned up, so there are three images with number80 and two with number 81. Number 82 already shows bigger pixels as it is the deepest possible zoom. ; Any feedback is welcome, I also regard it as an encouragement to go on. ; https://www.cubbyusercontent.com/pl/MultifracArchive/_67536d81761949e592b936... ; Path: MultifracArchive/New/Newgif Images 70-82 Path: MultifracArchive/New/Newpar\NEW.PAR ; Albrecht Das Wort für Welt ist Wald _______________________________________________ Fractint mailing list Fractint@mailman.xmission.com https://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
