When one runs the MAKEFCFG.EXE program, it should only create a FRACTINT.CFG file with the entries necessary for the video adapter that is used with that computer. The FRACTINT.CFG file that comes with the older FractInt download (on the Spanky website) has several additional entries that cover various adapter/monitor environments, and therefore is a larger file size.
Oh, and this is in the OLDER version- that I could do the makefcfg.exe . . . Does the newer program not have that?
To my knowledge, the MAKEFCFG.EXE program has not changed in many years, so there probably is no newer version available.

It is quite interesting to see that there is only one resolution and color mode specified. No matter which entry is created, it is basically the same for each. The only difference is within the AX and BX values. I can now see why FractInt may not be displaying things correctly, or giving error messages, when you choose another listed mode. You really only have one that can work properly. I did some reading on the web at these sites: http://www.digit-life.com/articles/radeonve/index.html http://www.ati.com/products/radeon7000/radeonve/specs.html https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&fo... But was unable to come up with anything, other than the Radeon VE graphics controller/processor should have display support that is register compatible with VGA, is BIOS compatible with VESA for super VGA and has VESA Display Power Management Support. And I did not find any reference to the version 6.13.10.6006 drivers that you have loaded. What might help, is to know which Series your Radeon VE adapter is, such as 7000, 9250, 9200, X850, etc....
