This fractal has a lot of four way symmetry which gives it the name Four By Four. I found it by zooming into a four way symmetry in a tiny disconnected fragment of the parent fractal. It is interesting that this formula often generates minibrots in disconnected fragments. The equation is:

z = 1 / (1 / ((z ^ 3) * (exp(z) - 1) + pixel + 1) + 1 / (z ^ 4 + pixel - 1))
