Other than the top line being scrambled (it's on the list), the help screens work fine for me. ?Even the backspace works.
I've tried another xterm and yes, the Backspace works and the screen does not get scrambled. It seems that the various xterms behave differently. In this xterm the 'image-is-completed' beep uses the internal speaker. In the one I previously used the sound came via the soundcard.
