You are the only one who thinks you need to "police" anything. IMO.

Of course, the fact that spanky.triumf.ca is currently hard to reach means it's *difficult to verify* whether the syncing worked or not. Hence my rather reasonable post: I believed it to be correct, and cited the evidence for that belief. But we wouldn't want reasonableness to get in the way of a good dig. I can only sync to what Noel has on his Linux backup server anyway; if his backup is missing the image you found, then I can hardly sync and make it appear out of thin air. Oh, and the image in question appears to be a Google logo; clearly we are all impoverished by its absence from the bottom of the referenced page.

I also note that this "quick check" actually required you to go from the Spanky home page to the FractInt home page and then to the FractInt index page (neither of those are the first link on either page) so I guess you actually did click quite a few things looking for a problem. Thank you for your assistance.

I only checked one single web page:
    http://spanky.fractint.org/www/fractint/findex.html
and immediately found that it was missing the Google image at the 
bottom, which should have been at:
    http://spanky.fractint.org/www/fractint/Google.png

Personally, I have not got the time to "police" Damien's mirror site of 
Spanky, nor the time to check up on whether his RSYNC ran correctly and 
completely.

This is why I am attempting to establish another complete copy of Spanky 
on my site.  At least then I will know if it is up-to-date, correct, and 
working.
