When I watch Lloyd's animations, in order to be able to look around a bit in each scene (while it's zooming/playing) before it expands off the edges of the screen, I play it at half speed. There is no jerkiness in the animation when I do this. I'm only familiar with Windows Media Player's way to do this in Windows 8.1: If you have no Menus shown in Media Player, Right click on the program's window frame and select: Enhancements > Play speed settings I was not able to set a play speed lower than 0.5. Note that you can also single step frames with the two arrow buttons. The "Back" button seems to vary in function based on a particular video's encoding choices. I've had it do nothing or jump back more than one frame per click. If I recall correctly, the occasionally changing colors during the Lloyd's zoom are due to Fractint's adjusting the color map in response to the LogMap being non-zero. The Fractint Docs are not super clear on this -- a possibility of how this is implemented might be that the values calculated for each pixel are sent through an additional logarithmic lookup table before they are looked up in the color map to determine their displayed color. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on how this works.
