jonathan, i received no error message... what i DID get was a 1024x768, no matter that i chose the 2048 option (and would have liked to try larger, but you know, my older age and memory kept me from remembering how to tweak the CFG to get it right :)

I seem to remember a user having this problem when they had two identical disk video entries in their fractint.cfg file. To change the disk video resolution, start up a disk video mode and press <v>. Going back to the video selection screen messes this up. The <tab> screen should show the correct resolution. Jonathan
