Under WIN98 in the DOS/shell what can I do to keep image

Have you gone through the recommedations here:
Yes I´ve tried all suggestions, nothing helps
Are you running Fractint full screen? Fractint doesn't play nice when it is windowed. Try putting Fractint into a text mode before you change windows using alt-tab.
I always run Fractint fullscreen. I cannot get any textmode except as below.
Did you try textsafe=bios?
doesnt work, must be texsafe =save. That way Fractint at least works if started from the "windowed" Dos Commander. But if I restore a saved image, it also is destroyed as soon I try to call a text screen.
Try setting virtual=no in your sstools.ini file.
doesnt help either. The monitor shuts off whatvever I do after the splash screen. The textwindow can be called by the cool switch and the monitor reawakens, but the image is gone. Translated Windows error message: "Fractint cannot be restored" Is there anything else I can do? "Real Dos", the switched WIN98 DOS mode doesnt work either because the performance is unacceptable. All I can do is to boot DOS7 from the second harddisk. Thanks for your help. Regards, Albrecht
