David, You'll have to check with Hans. I don't have Ultra Fractal. I thought the annual license fee was too high back in the day, probably higher now. I have never bought into that model of software ownership anyway. I figure you should buy it once and that's it, unless you want to pay for an upgrade. ----- Original Message ----- From: "david" <gnome@hawaii.rr.com> To: "Fractint and General Fractals Discussion" <fractint@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Saturday, March 2, 2019 5:42:21 PM Subject: Re: [Fractint] Windows-native fractal generator working with Fractint files Mark - does it support the multifractal formula? Mark,
a commercial (!) Windows-native fractal generator working with Fractint files is, of course, Ultra Fractal.
Latest version is 6.02.
According to the manual, some exceptions notwithstanding, the UF "formula compiler is largely compatible with Fractint's parser and most Fractint formulas can be used without modification".

Thanks David.
While I'm here, does anyone know of a Windows-native fractal generator that works with Fractint files? Any recommendations for favorite fractal generators? I've been out of the loop (pun intended) for 15 years.
