I am interested in using fractint (the dos version) but could not get the program to run on my computer. My computer is Windows 2000, with a fairly good processor (3.4 Ghz), lots of space on my hard drive (> 100 GB) and plenty of ram (2 GB). When I ran the dos program I got this error message: run-time error R6009 - not enough space for environment
Is this a problem you have encountered before?
Are you using the mosyt current release, downlable from here: http://www.fractint.org/ftp/current/ Have you run MAKEFCFG.EXE to see about establishing your FRACTINT.CFG file for the correct video adapter/mode settings?? What are the details about your vidoe adapter?? (make, model, type, drivers, etc..) Have you tried right-clicking the FRACTINT.EXE and then tweaking the various settings available?? Compatibility Mode: Windows 98 Conventional Memory -- Total: Auto Initial Environment: Auto (or 4096) etc....
