Russ,
When I try to run any of the last five par files that you've posted, I get an error message, "Oops. I couldn't understand the argument: Color=000LBU... Where the color string is whatever was supplied in the par. I'm running version 20.0 of Fractint. <<
I have been able to reproduce the colors from my messages on the list, and so have others (JackOTradez for one), so I think there may be a problem with your e-mail reader interpreting special characters that may be in the colors parameter. (Others have mentioned this in the past, but I don't know what solutions they came up with.)
The image then renders with the default map. I suppose, if nothing else, you could send me the .map file, which I could then select for the rendered image, but I'd like to be able to go with what I've got; i.e., maybe the color info is just somehow slightly corrupted, and I can perhaps tweak it back into usefulness...? But hey, you could also send an image so that I know I'm trying to accomplish. Just the Cave, if you will, so that my mailbox doesn't overflow.<<
I'll send you two zipped map files with two thumbnails to your e-mail address. Anybody else out there having problems - or not with these pars? Lee
