Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:
Today's parent fractal is little more than a series of horizon- tal stripes in the Rectangular orientation of the Z^(1.1)+C Julibrot. This parent looks like a scene to be discarded fast, but when stretched and skewed to a great degree, the stripes turn into a poppy field in the land of Oz. It must be OZ; the scene most certainly is not in Kansas (or Pennsylvania).
Seeing the fractal poppies blowing in the invisible wind under an azure sky, I named the image "Poppy Fields of Oz". Then I gave it a rating of 8.5, which includes 1/2 point for my color- ing. Such a smooth color palette is quite difficult to achieve with only 256 colors available.
Lovely coloring, with a flow to the landscape that suggests these poppies are growing afloat on the sea. -- David gnome@hawaii.rr.com authenticity, honesty, community
