I was able to get FractInt to run on my iPad!<div><br></div><div>As I mentioned earlier I downloaded iDOS from the iTunes app store. I didn&#39;t hear anything back from the developer about adding FractInt so I looked for another way. A person on the iDOS blog suggested iPhone Explorer so I successfully used that. iPhone Explorer is a Mac / PC application that lets you use your iPad in disk mode so you can copy files directly to it. I was very careful to not disturb anything outside the iDOS application.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Here are the steps I used to get it to run:</div><div><br></div><div>- Download the free app iDOS from the app store on the iPad</div><div><br></div><div>- Download the free program iPhone Explorer on your Mac or PC</div>
<div><br></div><div>- Download a copy of DOS FractInt and change the folder name to something 8 characters or less. I used FRACTINT</div><div><br></div><div>- Connect the iPad to your Mac or PC and wait until it finishes syncing. Quit iTunes if open and sleep the iPad.</div>
<div><br></div><div>- Open iPhone Explorer on your Mac or PC and navigate to Apps -&gt; iDOS -&gt; Documents and drag and drop the FRACTINT folder inside Documents. TAKE CARE TO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE ON YOUR IPAD. I didn&#39;t see anything unusual happen to my iPad but I am pretty sure you can mess things up if you change other stuff.</div>
<div><br></div><div>- Quit iPhone Explorer and disconnect the cables. Start iDOS on the iPad. Click on the C:\ sticky note graphic at the bottom of the screen to switch to the screen that looks like a computer monitor and a keyboard. Type dir at the command line prompt and you should see the FRACTINT folder. From here on it should be just like using DOS. FractInt ran without a hitch though it was noticeably slower than my Mac desktop running Fracton.<br>
