Listening to one of my old audio fractals - circa
1992 - I was suddenly struck by an image of the sounds that an
aurora borealis might make, and the image just won't go away. See
if you don't get the same sort of mental experience. My first
thought was one of gently falling through a fractal cloud, and
then came the aurora.

This is one of the files in my "aberrations" section of "misc.
audio fractal files" on my Audio Fractals site. Those files were
recorded directly from fractint using a special version given to
me by Robin Bussell who didn't realize that I was using a new
sound card which utilized different access to the registers. The
result was the production of really strange sounds from the SBLive
when compared to other SB cards which used the OPL1 chip. I find
them interesting mainly as curiosities, but some of them do grow
on you. You may benefit from turning down a bit of treble in your
mixer.
