The file derivations.zip at http://spanky.triumf.ca/pub/fractals/params/ contains the following L-systems files: alfovar.l feather.l leafvar.l m09vars.l schnvar.l t034ifs!.l These are some of my early variations on the L-systems of others. As I began exploring the amazing world of L-systems programming, this was a great way for me to play and to learn. I appreciate the opportunity to build on other people's hard work and still produce something new, recognising that I am only altering an existing L-system. (Some examples appear below. Paste them into a text editor, call the file deriv.l, put it into your Fractint directory and it'll be ready to use as type Lsystem.) I also wish to thank especially William McWorter and Morgan Owens for some very useful correspondence over the last few years which has helped me with some key questions usually relating to L-systems. I STILL have lots of blank spots in my understanding, but that's not your fault! THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
