...how-to-run-a-dos-program-in-windows-10 Thanks for the link, David.
Once I get Windows 10 installed and stable, I may also try the PC World method or DOSBOX. I normally calculate Jim Muth's and my fractals using Richard's Fractint for Windows beta 5 (now Iterated Dynamics -- not for general release), but I have just recently run across two formulas that did not work in Fractint for Windows. Interestingly, each Fractint formula had a different reason for not working in Fractint for Windows -- so, different workarounds were required. - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## -----Original Message----- From: Fractint [mailto:fractint-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of david Sent: Saturday, July 9, 2016 1:31 AM To: Fractint and General Fractals Discussion <fractint@mailman.xmission.com> Subject: [Fractint] PC World on how to run DOS on 32- and 64-bit Windows 10 http://www.pcworld.com/article/3085032/windows/how-to-run-a-dos-program-in-w indows-10.html Might be useful for DOS Fractint users feeling betrayed by newer Windows. -- David W.
