. Do what I do, what I suggest many times to people on this list with the same problem, but no one ever does it. Purchase a legacy system, either locally at one of the (many) brick and mortar PC repair outfits, or online (search - there are so many). Get a Pentium-3 at ~700-900 MHZ - they work the best. You shouldn't shell out more than 100-200 $ if that; sometimes much less even. Install DOS, or Win9X ; use a fresh HD or simply format the one that came with it. Run FractInt and have fun - just like the good old days. If you get to Win9X then I can tell you how to configure it so it boots to DOS and STOPS. If using just DOS you can transfer files with a USB Mem stick. In BIOS, set the flag for "legacy USB support" and it will work! Since DOS is no longer supported etc., I think it is legal to share the installation files. I can post the original DOS 6.22 files [3 floppies] on my server; you can download and use to install. Can't do with Win9X. Although I have the Disks for 95 and 98. .
