Thanks, the solution was to save: "S" every new "fract001" in order to have a new image that you could access. Now, after 20 fratint's years I'm as a newcommer !! Marcus

Can anyone teach me how to make bigger drawings in the new Winfract? The "Dell" control only allows a 800X600 pixels image and I do not know how to show in the screen the disk generated images.
Disk rendering never showed the image on-screen. You have to wait until its done rendering. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://legalizeadulthood.wordpress.com/the-direct3d-graphics-pipeline/>

Being far behind in nearly everything, I cheated a little today and found a quickie fractal in the Mandelbrot image that was posted to the list on Sep 11 by Roger Alexander, using a formula that was created by Paul Carlson in 1998.
Does anyone on the list know what became of Paul Carlson? I know he did his own fractal generator but then a few years ago his website disappeared.

FOTD -- September 14, 2010 (No Rating)
Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:
For today's FOTD, I un-tricked the tricked-out minibrot that appeared as yesterday's FOTD. What I found was a routine minibrot in Seahorse Valley, something we have often seen before. The name "The 'brot Revealed" followed immediately.
Rendering the scene with the outside set to 'tdis' added a bit of interest, but not enough to raise the image to the point of earning a rating.
With not much material to work with, I put little effort into the coloring, which IMO is rather somber, making the FOTD a vampire image, like one of those movies on late-night TV.
The calculation time of 1-3/4 minutes is fast enough to keep disappointment to a minimum. Disappointment may be eliminated entirely however by visiting the FOTD web site and viewing the finished image there. The web site may be accessed at:
Near perfect weather graced the Fractal Central section of Central Pennsylvania today. The Kodachrome blue sky and tempera- ture of 73F 23C were just what the fractal cats ordered. The few puffy clouds simply added to the vista.
My day was quite busy, but I am starting to catch up on the FOTD's, the next of which will be posted in the near future. Until whenever, take care, and if nothing is real, then what is it that claims nothing is real?
