A recent article posted today on TheTimeNews website is all about Tom Conally and is entitled: "Fractal fanatic: computer, imagination combine for interesting art" http://www.thetimesnews.com/articles/art_3634___article.html/conally_fractal... The exhibit is now on display and will hang through July in the Isabella Cannon Room at Elon University. Though he still uses FractInt to create most of his pieces. He did give the following quote: “I would advise (anyone interested in making fractal art) to get a Windows program because the FracTint program is so old,” he said. “I’ve learned all the commands, so I know it. But in this day and time, most people don’t know the DOS operating system, so they’d have a very hard time operating that.” Just goes to show there are still many doing art using FractInt, but many more could be if there were a good working GUI version for today's varied operating systems.
