Good technique Hal, I used to do that, sometimes still do. But there is an easier quicker way.
Generate the original Muth image, then generate the PAR file from fractint (or you can just use Muth's posted PAR).
Look at the "center-mag" numbers, usually there are six separated by a "/" character; you want the THIRD one - that is the magnification factor.
Manually edit it in notepad to be a number corresponding to the parent default, like 0.667 in fractint for the Mandelbrot, or as in your case, 4.411155. Anywhere around 1.00 should do.
Then calculate that image from the new PAR in fractint.
I do this when investigating posted fractals from the "allinone" and "mandelbrotmix" type formulas Muth often posts. It is revealing to see the parent fractals - often quite bizarre and looking nothing like the zoomed-in.
