Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Things are rather rushed here at FC today, so the discussion 
will be short, leaving the image to speak for itself.  The 
image, which shows a cubic minibrot lying in the Scepter Valley 
of its Mandelbrot parent, rates a 6.5.  I don't know why I added 
the extra half-point.  The coloring is not that great.

The name "3-Way Intersection" has nothing to do with traffic 
engineering.  It refers to the cubic nature of the scene.

The calculation time of 1-2/3 minutes will keep the doctor away, 
but the trip to the FOTD web site at:

to view the finished image there, will even pay the doctor's 
bill.

Monday started sunny here at Fractal Central, but by mid-morning 
clouds moved in and by noon moderate rain was falling.  The rain 
culminated in a sharp heavy shower around 2pm, followed quickly 
by a clearing and brisk wind.  The temperature of 70F 21C was 
near ideal.  The fractal cats  noticed the changes and then went 
back to sleep.  My day was as usual.  Due to a work-connected 
trip on Tuesday, there will be no FOTD for September 30.  The 
October 1 FOTD will be posted on schedule.  Until then, take 
care, and be somewhat enlightened.
