Which of these features do you use on a regular basis?
- orbit sound options
- L-system fractal type
- IFS 2D/IFS 3D fractal type
- read fractal type, etc., parameters from GIF and you don't have a corresponding PAR for the GIF
- release=/saverelease= in PAR sets, i.e. do you depend on old behavior that had bugs or was different for some other reason
Definitely need the "read fractal type, etc., parameters from GIF".
I agree pretty much with the above as well, except for the latter feature of "release=/saverelease=". I have so many of the older versions of the program anyway, that I can always use one of them to run with. ;-} Though I only use the "read parameters from GIF" for retrieving values from other people's images, I do understand that there are many individuals whom used FractInt (way back when) that only saved images and never bothered with the PAR files. So this feature seems to still be quite useful to me. As to the "sounds", I have a whole collection of specific PAR files which are geared to produce "music". And I occasionally run those on my Windows-98 machine. There have been many nieces, nephews, and other children that were quite amused by this feature. And I still show the younger ones this when I am doing computer tutoring.
