Stop moaning you two guys. I'm not too far behind either. So what. Time marches on.
Chronologically over 50, body is around 35-40 (active lifestyle benefit)
Mind is perpetually 14-18; as long as I can slip an Iron Maiden CD in, crank it up all the way, and rock into it I figure I'm still ok. Constantly driving 15 over the limit w/o getting nabbed helps too.
Age is in the mind and spirit. Many people past 50 can't do much technical or mathematic, but you (and I and others) are immersed in the 4th and most recent mathematical and philosophical breakthru in history (the others being calculus, relativity and quantum mechanix).
Fractals are a graphical depiction of a very broad and ever expanding field which used to be (sometimes still is) called Chaos Theory, but now referred to as "complex systems" or "non-linear dynamics". It will only get bigger in the years to come.
So stay on it! I intend to.
BTW, for those interested in the broader aspects of this, and have some coding skills (BASIC or PASCAL), I recommend a book called "Chaos Cookbook". It is somewhat hard to get now, but Amazon has it by 3rd party sellers. Get it while you can!
Stay Amazed
