One can't help but speculate why we have yet to see a photograph of the two intrepids - or, more to the point - a single, un-doctored photo of "Jim"[as we know him/them] AND the two intrepid felines.

My cats think someone's trying to pull a fast one here . . . .

An appropriate caption for the only photo we have so far might be "Who, me, two tails..??"

FOTD -- April 09, 2002 (Rating 7)

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

The tiny midget in today's image is truly an oddball, which is
why I named it "An Oddball Midget".  It's odd because the
elements surrounding it have a 6,12 symmetry rather than the
usual 4,8,16 symmetry.  I don't know why this is so, it seems
impossible, but the image proves that it is a fact.

Partly because of its artistic worth, partly because of its
mathematical curiosity, and possibly because it takes seven
minutes to render, I rated the image a 7.  That seven minute
wait can be considerably reduced by downloading the completed
GIF image from Paul's web site at:

          <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html>

or from Scott's site at:

          <http://sdboyd.dyndns.org/~sdboyd/fotd/index.html>

But be sure your browser or server doesn't serve up confusion.

The fractal weather Monday featured sunny skies and slightly
chilly temperatures around 60F 15.5C.  The sun, which is now
shining strongly on the porch, made conditions there ideal for
two intrepid cats, who passed the day watching the world pass by.

As for me, I'm still in the midst of the big FOTD CD rush.
Progress is being made, but there's still a way to go.  Until
next FOTD on the 12th, take care, and don't take speculation too
seriously.
