Albrecht, I have been happily running Fractint under both the standard DOSBox and the SVN Daum version on my Windows 10 (latest version) box. Am also running VirtualBox and have installed my version of XP there (my ancient XP machine died, so the license was freed up). I do miss the VirtualXP that I can still run on my Windows 7 box, but as you said, is unsupported under Windows 10. By the way, I'd be happy to post my whole DOSBox conf files, but my memory is I didn't change much beyond the fragment I posted earlier. This is the list of compatible Win Systems as per Chip downloads

Once again asking for assistance to use it on Win10_64bit. Dont really exspect that there is any because also on the DosBox homepage Win10 is not listed anymore as compatible OS. This is part of the Microsoft policy to cut user rights, call that update or even worse "upgrade" in favor of spy and adware. In the dosbox forum it was stated that even VirtualXP has been killed and can no longer be installed on win10. So after the next patchday be aware. Part of this policy is that updates cannot be shut off anymore, even if the service is deactivated. Had to learn that the hard way, when uploading to OneDrive was interrupted by automatic updating with forced newstart. Sorry if you object, felt that this was necessary because it hits Fractint badly. Albrecht
