For Immediate Release Contact: City Art Director Joel Long: joeltlong@yahoo.com City Art Meltdown Salt Lake Public Library Main Branch 210 East 400 South Salt Lake City UT 84111 Wednesday September 7th, 7:00—9:00 P.M.               City Art will present its annual meltdown on Wednesday,September 7th at 7:00 P.M. at the Salt Lake Public Library Main Branch.  The meltdown includes the top vote-gettersamong Utah writers and so offers fifteen to twenty of the best literary figuresof the state reading for five minutes each.    This year’s meltdown includes Katharine Coles, KimberlyJohnson, Wade Bentley, Pam Balluck, Gerda Saunders, Lynn Kilpatrick, Joel Long,Michael McLane, Star Coulbrooke, Jacqueline Osherow, , Shanan Ballam, NatashaSaje, Laura Stott, Jennifer Tonge, Jerry VanIeperen, and Mike White , amongothers. It traditionally begins the City Art Reading series, which meets thefirst three Wednesdays of every month from September through June.    City Art is SaltLake’s longest-running reading series and provides a unique forum for theliterary arts during their weekly programs on each of the first threeWednesdays of the month from September to May at the Salt Lake City PublicLibrary.   City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, Catalyst, the Salt Lake City PublicLibrary, Xmission, and the Zoo, Arts, and Park Fund.      Joel Long
