Poets Natanya Ann Pulley andNathan Hauke will read from theirworks on Wednesday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City PublicLibrary as part of the City Art Reading Series and the Utah Humanities CouncilBook Festival. This event is free and open to the public. Natanya Ann Pulley is a Diné writer and her clans are Kinyaa’áani (ToweringHouse People) and Táchii’nii (Red Running into Water People). She’s publishedin Waxwing, Monkeybicycle, Entropy, and TheOffing (among others). Natanya is the founding editor of HairstreakButterfly Review and teaches texts by Native American writers, FictionWriting, and Experimental Forms at Colorado College. Her debut storycollection With Teeth was published by New Rivers Press (Oct.2019) and her writing can be found at natanyapulley.com. Nathan Hauke is the author of Indian SummerRecycling, EveryLiving One (Horse Less Press, 2015), In the Marble of YourAnimal Eyes (Publication Studio, 2013), and four chapbooks. His poemshave appeared widely in journals, including DenverQuarterly, New American Writing, Colorado Review, AmericanLetters & Commentary, Interim, Typo, 4Ink7: An Unction from the HolyOne, and Zen Monster. They have beenanthologized in Hick Poetics (Lost RoadsPress, 2015) and The Arcadia Project: North AmericanPostmodern Pastoral (Ahsahta Press, 2012).
