Writers Lisa Fay Coultey and Craig Dworkin will read from their works on Wednesday, November 5that 7:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Public Library as part of the City ArtReading Series and the Utah Humanities Council Book Festival. This event isfree and open to the public. Lisa Fay Coutley is the author of Errata(Southern Illinois University Press, forthcoming 2015), winner of the CrabOrchard Series in Poetry Open Competition, and In the Carnival of Breathing (Black Lawrence Press, 2011), winnerof the Black River Chapbook Competition. Her poetry has been awarded afellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, scholarships from theBread Loaf and Sewanee Writers’ Conferences, an Academy of American Poets LevisPrize, and has appeared recently or is forthcoming in Kenyon Review, Crazyhorse,Gulf Coast, and Best of the Net 2013. Her prose has appeared recently in Poets & Writers and Passages North. She holds a PhD inLiterature and Creative Writing from the University of Utah and is an AssistantProfessor at Snow College. Craig Dworkin is the author of over a half-dozen books ofpoetry, including The Perverse Library (Information As Material, 2010), Motes(Roof Books, 2011), and The Crystal Text (Compline, 2012). His work has beenshown this year at the Whitney Museum, The ICA (Boston) and The WhitechapelGallery (London), with a film currently screening at The Museum of ContemporaryArt (Denver). Recent poems have appeared in Poetry magazine, 1913: a Journal ofForms, BOMB magazine, and have been selected for inclusion in the new NortonAnthology of Postmodern Poetry. A critical book on media theory called No Medium was published by MIT press. City Art is Salt Lake’s longest-running reading series and provides a uniqueforum for the literary arts during their weekly programs on each of the firstthree Wednesdays of the month from September to May at the Salt Lake CityPublic Library. City Art issponsored by the Utah Arts Council, Catalyst,the Salt Lake City Public Library, Xmission, and the Zoo, Arts, and Park Fund.
