Writers Malcolm Berenson and Bill Coles will read from their work on May 21st at 7:00 at the Salt Lake Public Library as part of the City Art Reading Series. After 47 years of teaching and research in mathematics and seven years of retirement, Bill Coles is concentrating on writing short fiction and creative non-fiction in his ongoing effort to find that one thing at which he would be really good, of whose existence he is less and less certain as the years go by. His literary efforts have appeared in Dancing on the High Plateau, Feeding the Lake, the City Art Journal, Catalyst, and Salt Lake Magazine. He is delighted to have one more opportunity to read at City Art Malcolm Berenson, a physician in Salt Lake City, has frequently been selected to read at the City Art "Meltdown". His theme will be the pleasure of loving City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Zoo, Arts, and Parks, X-mission, and audience donations. The featured reading will be followed by an open reading.
