Poet Abraham will read from his poems and perform with the band the Snarlin’ Yarns November 2nd at the Salt Lake City Public Library at 6:30 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. Abraham Smith's forthcoming and recent publications include Insomniac Sentinel (Baobab Press, 2023), Dear Weirdo (Propeller Books, 2022), and Bear Lite Inn (New Michigan Press, 2020). Away from his desk, he improvises poems inside songs with the Snarlin' Yarns; Mississippi's Dial Back Sound will release their sophomore effort It Never Ends on the 23rd of January 2023. Their debut record, Break Your Heart, also out from Dial Back, made some noise on the European Americana charts and was featured on Apple Music's Americana playlist. Smith lives in Ogden, Utah, where he is associate professor of English and co-director of Creative Writing at Weber State University. Most featured readings are followed by an open reading.
