City Art Presents Debra Monroe

            Writer Debra Monroe will present their work on February 24th at the Salt Lake City Public Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. 

Debra Monroe, author of six books and University of Utah graduate, will read from her lastest book, which has been described as "perfect, earthy and self-deprecating and funny" (Sara Nelson, Omnivoraciious); "a vibrant, tough, fascinating look at women shifting classes and places," (Anna March, Rumpus); "blunt and salty and smart" (Houston Chronicle); and "a love story, with poetry and fiction more than any person" (Chicago Tribune).
 
 
Most featured readings are followed by an open reading. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Catalyst, the Salt Lake City Public Library, Xmission, and the Zoo, Arts, and Park Fund.
