Kara van de Graaf is the author of Spitting Image, winner of theCrab Orchard First Book Prize in Poetry. Her individual poems appear widely innational literary journals, including The Southern Review, AGNI, NewEngland Review, Crazyhorse, Alaska Quarterly Review, and theanthology Best New Poets. She is co-founder and editor ofLightbox Poetry, an online educational resource for poetry in the classroom.She serves as Assistant Professor of English at Utah Valley University. JesseParent is a two-time runner-up at the Individual World Poetry Slam, a two-timefinalist at the Ill List Invitational Poetry Slam, a finalist at the 2012Ontario International Poetry Slam, and a two-time semi-finalist and group piecefinalist at the National Poetry Slam. He has been on 10 Salt City Slam teams,has served as SlamMaster and coach for Salt City Slam, and serves on theexecutive council for Poetry Slam, Inc.
