Michael Place and Kildem Soto will read from their work on Wednesday, February 2nd at 7:00 PM at the downtown library (400 South 200 East).
Michael Place is the creator of The RadioJournal Project, a series of radio stories, documenteries, and essays for public radio. He currently spends too much time reading and not nearly enough writing whilst enrolled in the University of Utah's English program.
Kildem Soto, originally from Huanuco, Peru, learned to speak English when living in New Jersey from the age of 8 to 15. He subsequently moved back to Peru where he realized his poetic interests. Kildem lived in Peru until his twentieth year. He moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to live with his son, Caleb. Kildem has been published with Listen Magazine and has been a featured poet on KRCL��s Ladybug Lounge. His first book, Poems/Images/an Insane Asylum for the Masses, was published by PUSH! Publications on October 16, 2004. His work will also appear in an anthology published by Black Rock Books and another anthology published by PUSH! Publications. Kildem��s second book, Fold before Screaming, will be published by PUSH! Publications.
