Michael Kroesche and Adam Love to read at City Art

            Writers Michael Kroesche and Adam Love will read from their works on Wednesday February 6th at the Salt Lake City Public Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. 
 
Michael Kroesche was born in Salt Lake City, UT. He received his BA from the Univ. of Southern California in 2008 and his MFA in Poetry from the Univ. of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2011. His works include a chap book, Summer Hymnals, published by Elik Press in 2004, and his poems have appeared in Interim, The Chiron Review, The Breakwater Review, Cactus Heart, among others, and have also been incorporated into orchestral pieces. His short fiction has also appeared in Foliate Oak Literary Magazine. He is recently returned to Salt Lake City after teaching for a year in Guangzhou, China. 
 
 
Adam Love is an emerging writer from Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended the University of Redlands and the University of San Diego, where he received a B.A. in Psychology. After college, he moved back to Salt Lake City and worked as tutor for AP English Literature students and the ACT/SAT tests. While tutoring, he pursed an MFA in poetry and creative non-fiction from Vermont College, and graduated in 2012. While at Vermont, he was a three-time nominee for the AWP Intro Award for Poetry. His work has appeared or is upcoming in MiPoesias, Conte, Big Muddy: A Journal of the Mississippi River Valley, UGLY Magazine, and Borderline. He is a finalist for the 2012 Tired Hearts Press Chapbook Contest series and received a nomination for the 2013 Pushcart Prize. He spends most of his free time in the mountains and rivers of Utah.
 
Most featured readings are followed by an open reading. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Catalyst, the Salt Lake City Public Library, Xmission, and the Zoo, Arts, and Park Fund.
