Poet and bass player Harold Carr will perform at the Salt Lake Public Library Main Branch on Wednesday May 13th at 7:00 as part of the City Art Reading Series. Carr’s poetry ranges from nature lyrics to experimental sound-based poetry. He combines acoustic bass and spoken word into a unique blend of conversation, soloing and singing. The two artists will also perform original compositions by Miller. The event is free and open to the public. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Zoo, Arts, and Parks, XMission, and audience donations. The featured reading will be followed by an open reading.
