Poet Trish Hopkinson will read from herwork on Wednesday, May 1st at the Salt Lake City Public Library at 7:00 P.M. aspart of the City Art Reading Series. Trish Hopkinson has always lovedwords—in fact, her mother tells everyone she was born with a pen in her hand. APushcart nominated poet, she has been published in several anthologies andjournals, including Stirring, Pretty Owl Poetry, and The PennReview; and her third chapbook Footnote was publishedby Lithic Press in 2017. Hopkinson is co-founder of a regional poetrygroup, Rock Canyon Poets, and Editor-in-Chief of the group’sannual poetry anthology entitled Orogeny. She is a product director by profession and residesin Utah with her handsome husband and their two outstanding children. Bonnie Shiffler-Olsen is a poly-artist and humanitarianresiding in Utah. Her poetic work has been featured in anthologies and journalsincluding CrabFat, Peculiar, Quarterly West, Rust+Moth, and SWIMM. She blogs sporadically at secondsetofwings.com and provides regular taxi service for her four children. Mostfeatured readings are followed by an open reading.
